At Trinity Fellowship Church, we are passionate about marriage! While living together, co-parenting, and long engagements are the cultural norm du jour, our biblical convictions encourage a different (better!) ideal (see 1 Corinthians 7). In Mark 10, the Bible explains that when a couple is married, “The two become one.”

Many things today keep couples in waiting seasons –finishing grad school, saving for a big wedding,having kids,or even just a busy lifestyle. But couples in this season are still operating as individuals. Marriage is the covenant that binds you together as one! We believe there are few truly “good” reasons for waiting to make that marriage covenant.(Keep in mind, you can still host your wedding celebration later!)

Why are we encouraging you to get married?
Couples wait to get married for a variety of reasons, but for the most part they want to be sure they’re with the right person. We get it! It’s important (and biblical!) to vet your partner and to marry someone whose values align with your own. That said, there’s only so much vetting one can do before taking the proverbial leap. Amid a culture that will tell you, you have to wait... and wait... and wait... and wait... before you are ready for marriage, we’re here to encourage you –you have a 100% chance of success of marriage when you do it God’s way. Why wait on all he has for you and your future spouse as one for one more moment?
